Discord, entropy, and chaos.   Law, order, and predictability.   Two worlds, opposite sides of the same coin.   Ataxia relies on the balance of elemental magic. Failing to maintain the balance of magic triggers catastrophes and natural disasters, and—potentially—irreversible changes to the land. For centuries, Paritet has controlled this balance as a universal governing body, dictating which element needs to be channeled more at which times. But mortals make for poor magic filters. All who channel elemental magic slowly go insane until the use of it kills them. Those who help keep the elemental balance are revered for their sacrifice, becoming martyrs for the lives of all. Yet many wish this wasn't the case. Isn't there some way to bring stability to Ataxia?   Perpetua is the opposite of the rank chaos of Ataxia. The god Perpetua—the world's namesake—governs the world with a steady hand of orderliness. With Perpetua's stability, the people have steadily advanced technology and magical boundaries. Though this very same stability is stifling; everything moves at a steady, set pace. Any chance of leaping progress is snuffed out by Perpetua's word. Without a little chaos, can the people of Perpetua feel alive and in control of their own fates?
