Many believe the elements to be wild and chaotic. Yet if this were the case, then surely the world would be pulled apart. It is true there are violent bursts of elemental power, but there is always an exchange and a pattern. I have dedicated years of life to study this transfer of power between the elements. The following are my results.
The elements can broadly be set into two spectrums, as evident by Preservation and Chaos. This, and each element's properties, is detailed in my other collection Elemental Properties. Furthermore, each element has an opposite. It is this opposite element that the other consumes to create its own. Take, for instance, fire (Ild) and ice (Is). Opposites. Fire (Ild) will consume parts of ice (Is) to create more of its element. And in return, later, ice (Is) will consume parts of fire (Ild) to create its own element. The equation is as follows.
1:1
This is the base. As one can see, it it equal. It is balanced. But chaos always sneaks in. Yet chaos does not mean unequal. There may be time when an element takes more than its fair share. In this case, the immediate exchange rate is altered, and hard to calculate until one sees the opposite's reaction. After observation, exchanges always end up equal, though it may not be immediate.
The following equations are studies of various exchanges over two cycles.
Ild:Is -- 1:2
Natur:Vand -- 1:1
And:Blaest -- 2:1
Is:Ild -- 0:1
Vand:Natur -- 2:1
Blaest:And -- 1:1
Not only do the opposite balance each other, but the spectrums of balance and chaos are maintained. The elements clearly maintain themselves. All we mortals must worry about is living beyond their chaotic outbursts.

Believe, do many, of the elements to be wild and chaotic. Pulled apart surely, the world, if were this the truth. Are true, the bursts violent, of power elemental. But is always, an exchange, and a pattern. Dedicated years, have I, of life, to study this transfer of power between elements. Are written, results of mine, here.
Set broadly can be the elements, into two spectrums, evident by Bevarelse and Omdanne. Detailed is this, and properties each, within Elemental Properties, other Collection of mine. Furthermore, has an opposite, each element. Is consumed opposite element, by one, to create its own. Take, for example, Ild and Is. Opposites. Consume, will Ild, parts of Is, to create more of Ild. And, consume, will Is, parts of Ild, later, to create more of her. Is written, the equation, here.

Is base, this. Is equal, can one see. Is balanced. But, sneaks in always, chaos. Yet, meaning not unequal, chaos. May be, a time, when takes more, an element, than its share. In this event, altered is the exchange rate immediate. And is hard, calculating, until does witness, one, the reaction of the opposite. Equal always, exchanges, in the end, though immediate not always.
Are written, the equations of exchanges, here, studied over two cycles.
Ild:Is -- 1:2

Blaest:And -- 1:1
Not just balance, do the opposites to each other, but maintained are the spectrums of Bevarelse and Omdanne. Maintain clearly, themselves, the elements. Must worry only, we mortals all, about living beyond chaotic outbursts of theirs.
