18.0 - Change of Scenery Report

General Summary

Part 1 of Syl's report, before they make it into the swamp.

Took me a while to pick up their trail, and I'm still a approximately a day behind them. My hunch was correct. They did go to Nord Vineyard. They arrived at the home of a local winery¹ the night of the day 22. I was unable to gain much from the owners, but the nearby North Square vendors were far more helpful, despite their shady practices.
An eccentric relic seller by the name of Klint was exceedingly helpful. He sold a skull of a fallen Campaign-era solider to the "fellow with large teeth"; the half-man I'm guessing. He also provided that the group left in the company of an Altruist. He didn't remember the Altruist's name, but called him "an annoying prankster" who had been frequenting the North Square area to restock on supplies to investigate the center of Stuurk Swamp. (As a tangent note here Preserver, this man had a strange accent and used a few unusual words such as "thurirl" consistently in conversation)².
I made my way south to Grewl Pass, hoping I could close the gap. I'm only stopping a short while here at the Grewl Pass Garrison before heading into the swamp. The guards did see the group pass through here. They continued on, so it's likely they camped closer to the border of the swamp last night. I should be arriving in the swamp sometime later this evening. I will send another report soon.
