0.7 - Origin Report
General Summary

Characters come to in a small town street. It's raining and the sun is just rising. They see giant crabs and steam creatures overrunning and destroying the town. Some of the creatures notice the players and begin to attack. Corvis is quick on his feet and readies his shield. Atani charges at a group of crabs. Malik shouts that they need to get out and blows hi horn, hoping help will come. As they are swarmed and overrun, Vira runs in to clean up. She charges through, runs past, and tells them to join her at the docks. They have to stop the whirlpool that's causing all these problems. They sail out and approach the whirlpool. Vira tells the group to protect her while she closes the whirlpool. Small water elementals swim up to the boat and attack. Corvis is able to keep water sprites off of Vira by interposing his shield. Atani and Malik work on clearing the enemies. As Vira concentrates, faintly luminescent magic swirls around her until she's able to absorb it. Once absorbed, her skin drips a faint blue magic. They protect Vira as she releases the magic. She collapses back onto the boat. Atani and Malik begin rowing back since no one knows how to work the sail. Corvis tries Healing Word on Vira. He finds the magic non-responsive and takes him some time to actually cast. When it does go off, it's oily and distorted rainbow-like translucent magic; much like the feeling of magic from a rift or overextending yourself. He does not feel the pull of insanity. Vira doesn't wake, but seems a little better off. Vira wakes up before they reach the docks, and groggily yet quickly operates the sail to get them to the dock. When they arrive, Vira gets to solid ground and sits in the sand. They all chat, and the player characters thourougly confuse Vira with many of their questions about Paritet, the Servitor, and the balance of magic. Eventually, the conversation is cut off when some figures from the town call out to Vira. As she turns and waves to them in greeting, the players are pulled out of the dream and wake up.
