Group comes to in a small hut. They are wearing modern uniforms, with Corvis bearing the rank of Aligner; a pretty high and serious rank. Everyone else is wearing an Enforcer Slayer insignia. There are 2 bodies outside the hovel. One firbolg, one human. Nothing really on them. The group follows the fugitive's path through the jungle, heading southeast. They come across one of his carvings. Left is able to decipher the carvings after about 10 minutes of study. "So as the others, life returns." No one is able to make anything of the phrase. They continue on. Atani attempts to decipher the next one. Only gets part of it. "If ████ ███ not ████ neither are we." They stealth as the jungle quiets, feeling uneasy. They find another carving that Malik deciphers fully as "My work never ends". They decide to not stop for the night. Feeling of unease and something wrong increases. Corvis is able to tell it's from a lot of excess magic. They finally catch and apprehend the fugitive. The fugitive says a lot of nonsense, but also pleads with Atani, claiming she knows him; that they've already met. But Atani doesn't recall ever meeting him. "Ah, didn't think I'd see you again. But you shouldn't be 2 in 1." Vines start to writhe and entangle the group. There's a deep roar in the distance. The fugitive laughs. "Now comrades. Here we die at her hands, as we should have done all those years ago." The vines encapsulate and strangle them all.
