Duchess Hawiz I of the House of Roazhon

The sister of Duke Konan II, Hawiz sought to unify her fractured duchy by marrying Hoel of Kernev. Lower Breizh had been neglected by the Dukes since the ascension of Alan II, and the three counties of Finistere paid little heed to the needs to the Duchy, refusing to pay taxes or defend the Western Counties. Hoel attempted to assert the right of jure uxoris, but this failed and he was instead made Duke Consort. Hoel acted as regent for their son, Alan IV, until he came of age.
