Salaun, fearing a loss of authority if the County of Cenomannie was made a subkingdom, assassinated his predecessor, Erispoe and seized the throne. He captured much of western Anjou, including Angers as he consolidated power, culminating in the The Battle of Brissarthe. The Bretoned faction of the Southern Church solidified and the Druids restablished their first official circle near Gwened Saluan was himself assassinated by a conspiracy that led to a civil war among his predecessors. His eyes were pulled out of his head at death. The rights of the peasantry are enshrined for the first time, but are dissavowed upon Saluan's death. Saluan established the Stonevault at Angers as the second bleed became more pronounced.
