Duke Guerech I of the House of Naoned
The illegitimate son of Alan II and younger brother of Duke Hoel. Initially appointed the Bishop of Naoned, he assumed the title of Duke on his brother's death. While traveling back to his realm from a diplomatic mission to Gallia, he was captured by Geoffrey of Anjou, who forced him to swear an Oath of fealty. In his absence, Guerech's wife Aremburga began constructing a castle in Ancenis (See Subvassals of the County of Naoned and the Marches of Neustria. Fearing that Anjou would renew Guerech's war against him, Konan the Crooked poisoned the Duke.
