Duke Konan "Ar Du" (The Black) IV of the House of Penteur

Initially denied his inheritance by his stepfather, Eozon II and stepfather, Hoel of Naoned, Konan allied with Geoffrey VI of Anjou to contain Hoel, allowing him to imprison Eozon at Fougeres Castle.   Konan soon found himself a pawn of Henrietta II, Queen of Logres and Count of Anjou, who invaded Breizh in 825 SI, ostensibly to punish the Western Barons of Penn-Ar-Bed. She forced Konan to abdicate in favour of his daughter, Konstanza.
