Duke Konan II of the House of Roazhon
Konan's rule was marked by turmoil beginning when his uncle, acting as regent, refused to yield power. His neighbor, Gwilherm of Normaundie pressed against his borders, encouraging a revolt by Rivallon I of Dol. In 725, a full-scale war broke out between the two Duchies. Both sides attempted to secure to magical assistance and strategic location of Menez-Mikael, leading to the deaths of many in the quicksand surrounding the island fortress. Gwilherm, together with Milliget Albian Prince Harold Godwinson, marched on Konan's forces at Dinan. When Gwilherm turned his attention to Albia against his former ally, Konan marched on Anjou, but was found dead during the campaign, killed by poisoned riding gloves.
