  • Bisquine - Bisquine are the traditional fishing vessels of the waters off the Armorican Peninsula and the Contentin Peninsula, as well as the Northern Pleg-mor Gwaskogn. Bisquine are especially used in trawling operations, particularly for oysters and other shellfish. The ships are dominated by large rectangular sails made up of 3 levels of canvas

  • Gabare - River barges along the Mor Breizh and Mor Marv. These boats, spanning a long geographic range, are unified by their flat bottoms and rigging. They typically have 1 or two masts, and only a small cabin on the stern, both unlike the Peniche. They typically transport lumber, ores, agricultural products and wines.
