Aramilian Baptism

Baptism is not required in order to be a follower of any particular god. However, anyone who wishes to officially enter a faith community or become Devoted may partake in the baptism ritual of the diety they wish to follow. (NOTE: It is highly suggested to roleplay a baptism when gaining the Devotion ability from Way of the Faithful, but it is not required)   Baptisms to Aramil are performed around a Soul Well, usually during the twilight hours of dusk or dawn. The candidate and the sponsor both keep a hand on the Soul Well standing opposite each other.   It is required that the candidate have some form of magical ability (Spell Glyph capable of producing a Cantrip). The candidate and the sponsor will both raise the hand that is not touching the soul well to maintain a cantrip effect. These cantrips can be the same for both candidate and sponsor or they can be different. They should maintain the cantrips for the entirety of the ceremony (others in attendance may choose to maintain a cantrip effect or not).   The sponsor will speak about Aramil and the faith, and then start reciting the tenets. The candidate will repeat each tenet after it is spoken, however as they repeat the tenet they will swap the cantrip with their sponsor. Each of them will maintain their cantrip while passing it to the other and then hold the other's spell effect (NOTE: this is considered outside of cantrip rulebook mechanics).   The candidate will recieve their own cantrip effect back after repeating the fourth tenet (each pass will require 1 mana spent mechanically). The candidate and sponsor then grasp the forarm of the other that had been holding the cantrips (like a forarm handshake) while letting the cantrips dissipate. They both remove their other hand from the Soul well and as they do the candidate becomes an Aramilite.
