Blackforge
Blackforge is an underground city in the Blade Mountains within Northern Tyria.
It is the northernmost Tyrian settlement.
Blackforge started out as a mine. Over time, the inhabitants developed various smithing tools and procedures, turning the mine into a foundry. Due to the increase in both quantity and quality of the items coming from Blackforge, many merchants came and invested in the settlement. Eventually, Blackforge grew into a blacksmith town, famous for its supreme craftsmanship of armor and weaponry. This attracted the attention of other craftsmen, who journeyed there in hopes of making more money by introducing a variety of services offered.
Access to Blackforge is restricted. Besides the High King, no one can gain entry unless they are: a recognized master craftsman, have a formal invitation, or bring with them items of particular curiosity and value.
It is run by an oligarchy of predominantly Dwarven craftsmen.
