The Way of Stalk and Branch

Belifese halflings follow a particular way of life called The Way of Stalk and Branch. It calls for absolute harmony with nature and the world around them. Their dedication to this balance governs every action which they take. If they kill a cow for food, they must take action to assure that one will take its place. If they harvest a tree for lumber, they must plant a new one to replace it. Should their herd become too great for their fields, they must cull it to ensure there will be enough to go round. The Belifese welcome others to the Way, especially halflings from Outside - as they call anywhere but their valley.
