The Laughing Twins are minor human entities known also by many other names. They are a dual divine entity, the protectors of wit, humor, art, and tricksters.
Edica, the sister, is the livelier spark of the twins. She is often depicted dancing or playing an instrument, and she is the more hotheaded and impulsive of the two. She is the bright side of the moon.
Ardaric, the brother, is the calmer, almost melancholic counterpart of her bubbly sister. He is more careful, the one who mends the broken heart with sad love songs, the one who relies the melancholic emotions into beautiful pieces of art. He is the dark side of the moon.

There are many legends and stories about the dynamic duo, but the most famous is without the doubt "The Mischief of the Laughing Twins", or How the twins made the second moon.
