Session 8: Lost nieces and quarreling aunts Report
General Summary
The boy was walking nervously back home from the infirmary, when he spotted a trio of unknown figures glad in black. He deducted they looked very much like assassins, but they were not wearing any crests so they could have been identified. They went away to the poor side of the town as he continued towards the palace.
Something was happening in the palace of
House Hun'iryn. The servants said he was expected to join the family meeting and escorted Yaz'zyrral Hun'iryn to the main hall, where things were rather tense. His aunt Shrinalin Hun'iryn was having a quarrel with the men of the house and had encountered unexpected opposition when the patron of the house, Divin'vyr Hun'iryn and Berglynaun Hun'iryn had joined forces and expressed their displeasure about how the earlier situation had been handled. But the son of the house was saved by his younger aunt Sabaniss Hun'iryn, who winked at the boy and promised to take him elsewhere from the possibly dangerous situation. He was taken through the secret matronal tunnels which ran under the palace and the streets of the city, and eventually they ended up on the other side of the town and continued to walk to the palace of House Kilval'tar, where a small private gathering was held. On the way they encountered a funeral procession and Yaz'zyrral noticed the same assassins as before still looking for something. But in the group of people he got slightly separated from his aunt; yet, he felt a hand on his shoulder and brotherly spoken words "Trust in shadows, my son" in his ear. The shadows aided him to stay hidden, as promised. A small gift had been granted by The Masked Lord and used for the first time. There he encountered a handful of ladies: The matron of the House Kilval'tar , Szartana Kilval'tar along her friends Sarave Aleantlarar, who happened to be the younger sister of matron of House Aleantlarar, Lothafae Aleantlarar. To Yaz's surprise, there was also one of her paternal cousins, Zarala Tor'ana, who was also rather surprised but also delighted to see her favourite boy cousin present. Yaz'zyrral ended up entertaining the ladies with some talented music playing alongside Nilthaer Kilvalt'tar, the older brother of the matron.
