Blessed Spider Mother Haless Noquett
The name of the matron Haless Noquett is known throughout the city. The nobility thought her to be a dangerous social climber, whereas the commoners aspired to become something like her and rise from rags to riches. The Noquett family was just a middle class family, and like most drow women, she completed the clerical training as a young woman. In the training she met some important daughters of the noble families and playing her cards right, she was able to lift her family into the nobility with a strike of luck but also proper, careful planning, striking at the best possible time of religious uncertainty.
From young age she claimed she had heard the whispers of the Spider Queen, but to others it became evident that she spoke true when she became pregnant the second time and gave birth to twins, whom she named Quava and Qualasel. The twin birth was regarded as a good omen and she was able to rise in clerical rank, gaining a proper foothold when she became pregnant again. Eventually she became the High Priestess of the city and was nicknamed Blessed Spider Mother by the people. She died in giving birth to her youngest one -a daughter- but did so while protecting the city from an attack of Illithids by empowering her magical talents with the pain of labor. Her daughter survived and was named Baestraintra Noquett to honor the Goddess Lolth. Thus this youngest daughter is considered as the chosen one of the Spider Queen.
