Church of Hathor
Church of Hathor is a fragmented collection of people, mostly human although other races are not excluded.
Cosmological Views
The belief of Hathor does not exclude anyone from the warm embrace of the Bovine Mother. They welcome everyone, regardless of race, sexuality, gender, age or other factors, as long as the person is somewhat good. She will take in those who have strayed from the path, if she sees potential in them and that they are able to be saved. She motherly takes care of her followrs and aids in many things, especially in childbirth and motherhood. As some infants tend to die young, she also has a minor aspect of Afterlife in her possession.
Priesthood
Hathor's clergy is not properly arranged due to the fragmented nature of Her followers. Every priest does have to calling straight from the Bovine Mother herself and they tend attend the temple to study about their calling and how to best aid their people with the teachings of Hathor. Some might wish to become priests or clerics from a very young age, and most often than not Hathor welcomes them to the service when She sees they are ready. Her clergy's gender ration leans towards female, but priests are not unheard of, priestesses are just more common.
Granted Divine Powers
Healing powers and the knowledge on how to cure fatal deceases are the most important powers Hathor usually grants. She does grant other powers too, as she sees fit. Usually her priests tend to be life domain clerics.
Sects
Every small settlement has their own traditions on how to follow the teachings of Hathor, due to the absence of a higher religious head. Usually the leader is the High Priestess -or priest- of the certain temple. If there is a quarrel between two settlements and their respective high priestesses, it can get a little complicated.
