The Light Fragment - Excalibur

Excalibur is the Fragment of Light. It takes the form of a broadsword with a shining platinum blade and golden hilt with a sky-blue gemstone in the dead center. Fueled by the raw power of Puer Aeternus's youth and innocence, it is the single most effective Fragment out of all the others against the wendigoes.

History

Excalibur was made from the remains of an old broadsword Puer Aeternus found in the Grotto of the Young. When The War of the Wendigoes forced the Cult of Youth to evacuate the grotto, Puer Aeternus took it upon themselves to save their community. They channeled most of their magic into the sword, depowering them and aging them up in the process. They then took Excalibur on their journey to end the War alongside the other Champions of Altairus.

Significance

Excalibur is the Fragment of Light, one of the six Fragments of Anima. Not only that, but it is the most effective of the six Fragments against wendigoes.

Raw materials & Components

The broadsword that Excalibur was fashioned from was made of corroded steel and leather primarily. After its empowerment, the steel blade was restored and the sword bore a sky-colored gemstone in the center of the hilt.
