Altairus The magical realm of Jack Thunder and friends.

As told by the denizens of Altairus. Curated and Maintained by Professor S. M. Girard.

A Long, Long Time Ago...

Once upon a time, the worlds of Earth and Altairus were very close. In those days, Earth dwellers could visit Altairus through magical portals. These portals could be anywhere, from the middle of the woods to an unused closet.

This all changed when the War of the Wendigoes started. For you see, the wendigoes had attacked Earth first, turning man against man before making their way through the Altairus portals. It was then that the Heart of Altairus, the being who created this world, betrayed its own creation by accepting the wendigoes' foul magic into itself. Now the Heart of Darkness, it demanded no less than complete surrender of all the Anima Altairus had to offer.

For six young heroes, this would not stand. One by one they forged the most powerful artifacts the world of Altairus has ever known; The Fragments of Anima. Powerful weapons bathed in the power of the raw elements, they were forged with the express aim of taking down the Heart of Darkness.

It was then that these six heroes, the Great Strombolio, San, Mallow the Maelstrom, Altairia of Foxfire, Adamant Ironjaw, and Puer Aeternus embarked on their quest. Slowly but surely, they liberated more and more of Altairus from the wendigoes' evil. Until one day, they faced up to the Heart of Darkness itself. With the power of the Fragments of Anima, they defeated the Heart of Darkness, banishing it to the Flipside with the rest of the wendigoes. It was from that day forth that these young heroes became known as the Champions of Altairus, and the Heart of Darkness was gone forever.

...Or so everyone thought. But when signs appear on the horizon hinting at the Heart of Darkness's return, it's time for new heroes to rise...
