Nebula the Dream Dragon
Nebula is a long dragon and the de facto guardian of the dream world. As the world of Altairus sleeps, she traverses the Kingdom of Dreams, watching over sleeping Altairians and chasing away nightmares when they appear. But nightmares might just be the least of her problems...
Physical Description
Body Features
Nebula is a long dragon. She has a long, serpentine body, a mammalian face, stag horns, and four leonine paws. She flies via levitation rather than the use of wings.
Nebula has soft lavender scales which are speckled with white, much like a galaxy. Her mane and tail are a soft blue, alluding to her connection with the dream world.
Facial Features
On Nebula's forehead is a golden star marking. This star alludes to her connection with the dream world.
Special abilities
Nebula is virtually never seen outside of the dream world. Inside the Kingdom of Dreams, she has the ability to enter individual dreams (appearing as colored clouds) and influence them.
Just by looking at the dreams, Nebula can tell whether or not an Altairian needs her help. Pleasant dreams can appear in a variety of colors from pink to blue to yellow, and are soft and calm. When Nebula spots a nightmare, it appears as a dark, rough, stormy cloud. She enters dreams by flying into the clouds.
Once Nebula is inside a dream, she can fend off nightmares and other threats by using Dark magic. Being a master over dreams, Nebula's powers are much more flexible than other Dark elementals'. Usually, defeating a nightmare involves transforming into something even scarier than it to chase it off.
Outside the dream world, Nebula's powers are much more limited. She can still fly and use Dark magic, but she is not much good in battles outside of the Kingdom of Dreams. She tends to keep to her domain for this reason.

Personal history
Since her egg hatched in the year 1260, Nebula has been taught the ways of the dream world and how to harness its powers for the greater good. When she was about 50 years old, she assumed a position of rulership and stewardship over the Kingdom of Dreams. When the sun goes down on Altairus and beings everywhere drift off to sleep, she does her work. Whether banishing nightmares or catching naughty dream thieves, Nebula never has a dull day.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Nebula served an important role in the War of the Wendigoes. During the War, she was forced to deal with many more nightmares than usual. Instead of cracking, she redoubled her efforts, and though she wasn't always successful, her intervention was responsible for boosting morale throughout Altairus when the world needed it most.
