Mallow the Maelstrom
Mallow Tirtuga (a.k.a. Mallow the Maelstrom)
Mallow, later known as Mallow the Maelstrom, is the Water Champion of Altairus and the former wielder of the Seastone. A reef siren hailing from the Sea of Forever, she aimed to become a guardian, training in the exclusive Temple of Forever. This all came to an end when the wendigoes came and massacred everyone in the Temple save for the orphans the Temple held. In her grief, she created the Seastone to help her on her quest to defeat the Heart of Darkness once and for all.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
While not very strong, Mallow is very agile and has a lot of stamina. She has a very fit physique.
Body Features
Mallow has purple scales. Her belly, face, and fins are a deep shade of turquoise.
Special abilities
Aside from the powers granted to her by the Seastone, Mallow is an incredibly agile and persistent fighter. She is skilled in hand-to-hand combat. In addition, her siren song is an effective weapon against wendigoes and empowers the Seastone when used.
Apparel & Accessories
Mallow wore the Seastone when she was on her quest. She also wore steel bracers around her wrists and ankles.
Specialized Equipment
During the War of the Wendigoes, Mallow wielded the Seastone. This enabled her to control the tides to her will during battle.

Personal history
Mallow grew up in the beautiful Sea of Forever, but she wasn't exactly the picture of a perfect mermaid. Rebellious ever since she could speak, her family knew from when she was young that she had a strong spirit.
It was this trait that drove Mallow to seek out guardianhood. She applied to train at the Temple of Forever. After many rejected applications, she was finally accepted in 2240 G. E. For about three years, everything seemed perfect.
That all changed when the War of the Wendigoes started. It wasn't long before the wendigoes found the Temple. The guardians fought well, but even they were woefully unprepared for the sheer number and power of the wendigoes. They were all slaughtered that day.
It was after this that Mallow created the Seastone. She used it as a weapon against the wendigoes on her journey with the other five Champions.
Education
She spent three years training at the Temple of Forever before the War of the Wendigoes. That is where she got most of her fighting experience beforehand.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Mallow was one of the Six Champions of Altairus and the one who created the Seastone. This was the Water Fragment that assisted in the defeat of the Heart of Darkness.
Failures & Embarrassments
After the massacre at the Temple of Forever, Mallow felt immense grief over her inability to stop it. This became the driving force behind her perseverence on her and the other Champions' quest, despite immense discomfort and difficulty.
Mental Trauma
Mallow witnessed her entire platoon killed when the wendigoes attacked the Temple of Forever. While this was happening, she managed to save the orphans in the nursery by leading them into the cellar while the wendigoes were distracted. To this day, she is grateful that the wendigoes didn't find them. Anima knows what they would have done had they sniffed out all those young minnows...
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Mallow's "failure" to protect the Temple of Forever during the War of the Wendigoes has been a catalyst for her to do what she can to protect those in need ever since. She never wanted the same thing to happen to someone else as what happened to them.
Likes & Dislikes
Mallow wishes that Strombolio would stop joking around about everything. On their quest, she would often accuse him of not taking things seriously, when in reality, he was joking around to avoid having a nervous breakdown. This led to quite a few arguments between them.

Contacts & Relations
Mallow was quite close with her family before she left for the Temple of Forever. After the incident at the Temple, she forged close friendships with the other five Champions of Altairus.
Speech
Mallow's voice is slightly deeper than Buckthorn's, although it has a very similar timbre.
