Forest Gremlin

Forest Gremlins, or Goblins, are the gremlin race estimated to be the closest to the Mire Gremlin ancestor. Possessing neither antennae nor tails, forest gremlins are commonplace throughout all of Altairus's woodlands.

Naming Traditions

Family names

Forest gremlins have similar surnames to Stoneback Trolls. Having evolved alongside them, they may possess surnames having to do with stones. They may also be named after tree species.

Culture

Shared customary codes and values

Forest gremlins place a high value on resourcefulness. They live inside of trees and have relatively few material possessions and a very low technological level compared to other gremlin races. They commonly collect different "treasures" in the woods, which they adorn their homes with. When they migrate, they will try to sell these objects for money, to varying degrees of success.

Common Dress code

Forest gremlins' clothes tend to be rather simple, composed of materials commonly found in the woods. Rarely, a forest gremlin may have clothing made of leather or some other sapient-made material that they found.

Foods & Cuisine

Forest gremlins eat anything they can get their hands on. Most often, it's fruit and nuts, but forest gremlins frequently band up to take down bigger fauna for feasts very often. These caught prey are then roasted over a bonfire and eaten.

Coming of Age Rites

Like with other gremlins, forest gremlins receive their standard clothing when they first show signs of their powers. Before this, they are typically clothed in plain jumpsuits made of leaves or some other spare material.
