Aris

First Mars mission to the surface.

The first human mission to mars happened in the year 2037; a mission to flyby Mars and take scientific pictures and observations. The mission was to prepare for later trips to Mars; mission name Aris.   Aris was initially planned in 2035 but was to executed in 2050 by the united nations of Europe. A search began for willing people, that would sacrifice their life and home for a new life on Mars. This entails training for an astronaut and learning everything possible about Mars, it’s environment and weather conditions. This also means that people should have some sort of scientific background, to qualify for the job.   10 candidates were found within a rather short time span, and their training began. In the meantime, scientists and engineers were working on the spaceship that would take them there, and also, producing everything they would need once they got to the surface. Around 30 missions in the following years up until 2051 was executed to send materials to Mars.   Aris was postponed 3 years because of technical difficulties with the space shuttle. The mission was then greenlighted in January of 2053, and the crew landed on Mars on the 23’rd of September that same year.
