Personal history

Eidor Kantal was born late in the third age. He was born into the brotherhood of the void a cult worshipping the goddess of the void Mafesta. His upbringing in the cult’s society brainwashed Eidor and made him follow their goddess and the ways of their cult. He was trained to be a scout in the cult meaning he would locate artifacts, people, and resources they could get their hands on. He never killed, stole, or got caught scouting so he became very liked in the cult.   Eidor lived a very sheltered life while in the cult, even as a scout. He was told outside people were dangerous and a threat to their society. Eidor’s life changed forever when he met Amelia Harlow. It started when Eidor was out scouting and he saw her painting in the forest. He was interested and amused by her beauty and her art, and because of this he slipped and was seen by her. She was intrigued by him as he was of her and they started talking. After weeks of sneaking out to talk to Amelia, Eidor started questioning his life and started breaking the mold. He fell in love with Amelia and she cared for him back and helped him break from the abusive and manipulative cult he was part of.   A few years with Eidor and Amelia having a secret relationship the brotherhood gave Eidor a new mission. He was to find one of the Eyes of Tharen. He had heard tales of the eyes but had no idea where to start. To make his long search easier and more pleasant, he invited Amelia to come with her. It took them years to find the eye, but during their journey, they got married, and Eidor had became stronger, but all of the brotherhood's influence had not yet left him. Their goal was to find the eye so that the brotherhood could never have it. Eidor and Amelia finally found the resting place of one of the eyes. It had fallen out of the astral sea and ended up on the island of Disbel where it was resting in a temple made to it by the local tortles who had lived there for generations. There was a prophecy around the eye which the tortles had kept with them orally for a long time.   When the broken is fixed, the old left behind, and one can love again the sacrifice will make The Guardian   Eidor and Amelia learned about the prophecy and questioned what it might mean. It was then a scout from the brotherhood of the void showed himself. He had been tracking Eidor for years and giving information back to the brotherhood about their progress. The brotherhood had suspicions about Eidor before the mission and sent another scout to track him and make sure the eye was returned with or without Eidor. The scout confronted Eidor and told him to come home or die with Amelia. Everything paused for Eidor in the moment, as he fought the thoughts and urges the brotherhood had planted into his mind. But when the scout charged Amelia with his sword he did not hesitate. Eidor threw himself at the attacker killing him and himself, as his dagger found the attacker’s neck and the attacker found Eidor’s chest with his sword. Eidor died in Amelia’s arms that day, and he had finally broken free from the brotherhood's influence. As Eidor Kantal died the eye of Tharen disappeared.   When the new calamity ended Eidor came back in a new form, an intangible form. He could not see anything but darkness. Everything he felt was cold, and he couldn’t understand what had happened. He remembered his life and Amelia and how he had died but nothing after or when and where he was. For some centuries Eidor was trapped in darkness with only small instances of sight where he could see the world and the people, but only for a short time. In those times he could see everything, everyone, all life that existed was in his eyesight. But every time he could see again the life he had seen had been extinguished. One day he heard a cry, a deafening and high pitched cry. His sight came slowly back to him and what he saw was not all life, but one life, one particular life. He saw a newborn child. He didn’t know why he saw this child but it felt different, it felt familiar. He watched over this child for some years before his connection evolved. The child was lonely and wanted a friend so with its faith and creativity it made a bond strong enough for Eidor to manifest an avatar. He was now confronted with the child while its parents were fighting in the back; he did everything he could to distract him from it and make him happy. This relationship continued as he grew up and slowly Eidor learned who he was. He was his own and Amelia’s descendant, he wasn’t sure at first, but he remembered that they had tried for a child only months before his death, but the feeling he got around the child made him relive the feelings of joy and happiness he once had with Amelia. He finally understood the prophecy, he would not only be the guardian of life, the guardian of the eye but also the guardian of Illidan.
