Sindric

The Bloodsire Sindric

Divine Domains

Sindric is the god of murder, bloodshed and sadism. He is viewed as the lord of murder and blood.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Sindric’s holy symbol is that of a crimson colored dagger which has a serpent coiled around it. The dagger is known as Blood Kiss and is his favored weapon.

Worshippers

Sindric’s followers are few in comparison to other gods of his size, but his followers often make up for it in their acts of worship. His followers are mostly assassins, compulsive killers, murderers and sadists.   Assassins who follow him are often assassins who kill not for money, but for the hun, thrill and the art of murder. A well done murder, be it a bloody and gory or a well timed and planned out murder are both acts of worship in Sindric’s name.   Those who are pained by the need for murder like compulsive killers and serial killers are not always worshippers of Sindric directly, but they are still his chosen or favored. It is rare for a serial killer not to be seen by the Bloodsire, and then given gifts for their deeds to continue.   Murderers, those who have killed and may very well strike again, may have given a prayer to the Bloodsire, or been motivated by him to act on their deepest desires, be it passion, rage or revenge.   Sadist, those who revel in gore and sadism. Often believed to be his strongest worshippers and the few who can ever claim the title of his chosen, his Crimson Reapers. Those who truly revel in everything horrid and grotesque, who wish for nothing but the spill of crimson in every mortal and those who see the world as a canvas for their gory pleasures, these are the most devoted and powerful of his worshippers.   Sindric’s followers vary widely in reasons for worship and their methods of worship, though they all share the common desire for his power and for murder. With such a domain, it might seem hard to keep a collective church or cult of the god, but instead of killing eachother, his worshippers tend to stray away from murdering eachother and instead viewing every other worshiper of the Bloodsire as a competitor which they have to be better than. Competition is therefore the main driving point which keeps his church together, though duels or murders within his orders are not that uncommon still. Many who worship Sindric believe that the world of mortals is a mundane world which is a prison. They seek liberation from the monotony of life and the constraints of mortality and morality. Doing acts which goes against the norm of society and morality are acts of worship in Sindric’s name, and the thrill of stepping out of the restraints of the mundane world and seeing how society collapses once one individual breaks the chain is one of the greatest acts of worship in Sindric’s name. Sindric also promises power for his worshippers, power which is given in their mortal lives and in the eternal life which awaits only his greatest butchers. Those who excel in their art are believed to be given immortality in the afterlife in his halls of slaughter. They are there given everything they dream to continue their quest of slaughter in his name upon those who fail to meet his expectations, they become the lion and the sheep.
