Farendale

Demographics

Farendale if often believed to be original home to elves and to high elves specifically. How much of that is true is still discussed by scholars and historians, but most can agree that Farendale was the last remaning elven city of a much greater kingdom before the events of the avatar battles, or even furher back in time. Because of this it has become the city with the highest percentage of elves of any city in the entire world. Around 80% of the city is entirely populated by high elves with the second largest race being half elves with a 7%. Other races that makes up the population are: orcs and half orcs 6%, wood elves 3%, halflings 1%, the last 3% are made up from a mixture of other races.

Government

Farendale is part of the The Andúrin Dominion and is where its first high king originated from. It has also become the second greatest city in the dominion and has given much free reign when it comes to its own laws, taxation and restrictions. Farendale is the capital city in the territory known as Alvreigna and the council of Farendale rules and controls this area for the dominion. Its council is made up from important figues within this territory normally from the city, but outside councilmembers are not rare. The council has 20 seats on it which are controlled by the collective council and the chancellor. The chancellor of Farendale is the country's leader and lives in the Prince's Quarters which is located at the bottom of the Lightspear Citadel. The chancellor of Farendale is directly under the high king or queen of the dominion in authority and only reports to them. The chancellor is also part of the den meetings in the hall of concordance within the Shaldron palace which often occurs once or twice a month. His place is to the right of the high queen within the ruling circle of the hall of concordance.
