Day of the Dead

History

The day of the dead is originally a Daharian holiday celebrated in the name of Al'Akhar the god of death and decay. The day has been celebrated for as long as the Daharian empires have ruled and they have believed in their gods. The day started being celebrated during the fourth age and the rise of the Raven Queen. These gods have many common beliefs and with the power of the empire, this day became recognized in Tyranaia as well. The day is extremely important and it is said that killing during the day is one of the most outrageous sins man can commit. Battles have stopped, wars have been paused and enemies have walked away from each other on this day as most people respect it and hold it close.

Execution

The day is celebrated each year on the 5th of Al'Akhar.

Components and tools

Followers of Al'Akhar and the Raven Queen hold this day even closer than most people. They worship their gods and celebrate with their symbols and shrines. Some people decorate their homes with light to guide spirits and souls home as some belief souls visit their loved ones on this day.

Participants

The most important people and most present people during this day are the high priests of the Raven Queen and Al'Akhar.
