Cailean was tall and muscular, well beyond the peak of any normal human. He owed his strength and physique to being both a true blooded revanian and a dhampire.

Cailean had a strong, but sharp face. He has a short beard and a longer goatee and mustache.

Cailean could channel negative energy through his weapons and had supernatural strength and dexterity, especially when in shadows.

Personal history
Little is known about Cailean's life prior to serving Valerica Sacrosanct and becoming part of her Nightguard. It is well known that Cailean was the strongest dhampire that Valerica kept around in her Nightguard, and he served as Lord of the Nightguard for almost 100 years, longer than any lord before him. He commanded as much respect as one could do within her organization, without being a vampire or a female. He was a cruel master to the other dhampires, and would often forget his own nature within the organization as he cherished the long leash he had been given by his mother.
During the Matriarchy's attempt at resurrecting Axindal in A4 652, he and many of his best knights were guarding the Tomb of Kings in Theseria where the ritual was being held. He would face his younger brother Corwyn who he had heard much about from his sisters. The two would fight eachother, both accompanied by their allies. Cailean had his Nightguard, while Corwyn had his new friends and venthirs with him. The battle ended in a bloodbath for the Nightguard who were all killed by Corwyn and his allies, and Cailean was personally killed by Corwyn by having his throat ripped out by his sickle. After he had perished, Corwyn would find a letter on Cailean which was old and hard to read which simply read "Papa, come home soon, mama misses you, Sunflower".
