Belasinian mountains (bela sin ian)

marking the northern most border of the kingdom of baragond, the Belasinian mountain range divides Baragond from the former imperial province of Ghel Din. towering mountains make passage over these ranges from country to country exceedingly difficult, while some small goat paths would eventually lead you through the other side, most of these paths are either too winding or too perilous for it to be worth merchants trouble to risk the journey. at the easterly beginning of the range is the westfang, a small mountain by comparison to its brethren, but still large enough to support the Westfang fortress, which is cut into the face of the mountain and froms the western-most point of the great fortress wall of baragond. dotted along the ranges lower slopes are a series of small mining and hunting villages, but with one exception (darkstar) the area remains lightly populated, particularly west of darkstar as most of the previous inhabitants have fled in the face of increasing raids on the settlements there by orc bands.
