Claria; Goddess of Love
Goddess of Love & Union; seen as the height of passion and devotion, a symbol of unity and purity and passion.
She is followed by many priests who specialize in marriage, and Her name is said often through the world, in many different settings. She has a large groups of followers of varying kinds throughout the world - those who follow her idea of unity and love for life, in marriage or eternal partnership, even friendship. There are those who see Her as a symbol of sex and physical love. These two sides of her worshippers often clash with one another, strongly believing the other is not understanding the messages of Claria.
In reality, both sides of her followers are right. Claria is in a strong committed union with Hesperonis; God of The Ocean, however She also has many other bonds both Gods and mortals with the blessing of Hesperonis. She has mothered many children, both mortal and Godly, and as far as Gods with many children go, She is the most caring to all of them.
More controversially, She has a history of extending her belief that all creatures deserve love to the extreme. Claria has birthed at least one known child to a demon, an event that caused great anger among the Gods, especially from Roth; God of Truth. This event caused a war among the Gods that eventually extended to the mortal realm. It was a long and violent war that ended after over 100 years, forever fracturing relationships between the Gods. Claria kept the child in spite of everything and mothered the child herself with Hesperonis; God of The Ocean at her side, proving the strength of the union they had made. The child grew to be the only demon ever permitted to enter and live in the realm of the Gods, and still does to this day as His mother's greatest protector and often ambassador to the demons.
