Sea Steel

Despite the name, Sea Steel is not actually metal but in fact carefully harvested remains from deep-sea creatures that can only be described as sea monsters. After harvested the remains are formed as desired and undergo a heat treatment. When the remains become heated the harden into a material that is stronger than normal steel. Only the underwater races have the knowledge and the ability to create this material.

Every blacksmith under the waves worth their weight in coral prefers to use Sea Steel. It has been used for thousands of years by the various races that call the oceans and seas home. Every notable figure throughout the history of the underwater races as wielded Sea Steel in some way. It is because of this that Sea Steel is viewed as a symbol of wealth or power by many. Sea Steel weapons and armor is often provided to the warriors who are more at risk such as the squads that go deep into enemy territory or groups that fight against the various creatures of the deep.
