Kalindier Halflings are the descendants of the Halflings that built the sprawling city Kalindier that once stood on the Everplain. After the destruction of their city they scattered westward.m

Naming Traditions

Family names

Kalindier Halflings have two family names. The second family name is always 3 letters and goes first. The second family name states which district of the city they once lived in. The known ones are as follows:

Shared customary codes and values

All Kalindier Halflings value loyalty and unity within the respective districts.

Coming of Age Rites

When a Kalindier Halfling comes of age they make a pilgrimage to the Kalindier Ruins to find what remains of their district. Until this happens they are not seen as an adult.

Funerary and Memorial customs

When a Kalindier Halfling dies they burn their body on a pyre and the ashes are sent with the next pilgrimage to be spread about the district.
