Session 8 Recap
General Summary
Our parties journey towards the ogres former home continues.
After some successful scouting the night before, several plans are considered, thrown out and reconsidered again, Ultimately the party decided to attack the ogres former home, potentially using the ogres as canon fodder.
Upon approach it becomes clear that within the last few hours the compound has been all but abandoned, only a solitary figure remains. Clad in black clothing, and Skull like mask as dark as obsidian, the party approaches cautiously, ready for anything.
The figure, who keeps his identity concealed has a brief conversation with the party before stretching his limbs and with little effort dispatching the ogres.
The mysterious figure leaves after some veiled threats, simply walking away.
A brief investigation of the ogres home reaveals an empty space, seemingly some ground work had been done recently to expand it. Slight traces of magical energy lingered, and vauge hints of some form of industrial machinery once operating.
Our... Heroes... return to Santares, handing their mission in. Though with a lust for blood holding them, they decide to immediately take on some new missions, with the first being a mission to deal with some bandits.
They travel north west towards the whispering valley, posing as merchants, and are quickly stopped at a "Toll booth" after some conversation, and confusion, the party is almost tricked. The "Guards" seemed as though they where going to plant drugs in their cart, but the hidden party members took note of this and acted. Combat broke out, and the guards quickly revealled their underhanded tactics.
The combat was gruelling, Dok took several powerful blows, and Ursus Metallicus was briefly rendered unconcious. Two of the bandits attempted to escape, the first was taken down with ease, whilst the other spent several minutes attempting to flee from an angry fire bear. He did not succeed.
