Santares
The Xaravelian empire is an excellent example of what happens when life and death truly meet. The empire is ruled by the Lich Xaravelan. Through his almost 400 year reign, the empire has gone from a squalid despot of outcasts, to become an empire in its own right. Many outside the empire believe it to be innately evil due to the living dead being a common sight in all walks of life.
Santares is one of the port cities of the empire, utilizing the Whale Bone craft, great ships built into the corpses of re-animated leviathans, Santares serves as not only the biggest fishing village in the empire, but the largest source of fish in the known lands. The meat, materials and oils harvested from the empires sea can be found in most locations.
