Paragon of the Field

The Aspect of Gravity, referred to as Runil in Low Athrixiaii, is one of the more esoteric of the Aspects. Compared to commonly used Aspects like Fire or Stone Gravity is employed far less frequently, and most often by specialized practitioners. While Gravity has the potential to unleash massive harm to enemies, it can also be used to create intricate and impossible architecture that defies the laws of normal physics. As the name implies, Runil mages can manipulate gravity around themselves. As their power grows, so too does their deviation from normal gravity. Novice mages can make themselves lighter or increase the weight of small objects to secure them to the ground. More experienced mages can design buildings without normal load-bearing constraints, capable or orienting gravity in different directions and magnitudes on different parts of the structure. Offensively, Runil mages are also capable of changing an individual's gravity orientation, launching opponents skyward. The greatest mages have demonstrated the ability to generate micro-black holes. While tiny, these singularities are devastating on the battlefield, and have proven to be the greatest answer against offensive Light sorcery.
In traditional Azarian symbology Runil is associated with the color orange, while Thassacartan cultures associate the Aspect with the circle. Common terms for gravity mages include tether mages, rovazael, graviurge, and dynamancer.
