Solarii

"To describe the people of the Solisar peninsula would be a tall order. They are a miracle turned into form."
— Guntho Merastus, The World of Alluvia Vol. XIV
The Solarii were a religious zealotry of Tieflings that worshipped a deity of pure light known as The Omnipotent One. Guided by its light, the Solarii produced many advanced technological feats that hastened the progress of the various nations they were allied with. As paragons of progress, the Solarii were hailed to be Alluvia's greatest inventors and scholars.

Family names

The Solarii were not fond of using family names but used titles as markers instead. These titles could range from a variety of origins, most commonly used were the places where a Solarii was born. These included the capital city of Roshan as well as the prefecture townships that dotted Solaria's landscape (e.g. of Kairon, Doratan, Khandtari, etc.)

Apart from their birthplace, Solarii tieflings often used the names of the organizations they belonged to in order of importance. (e.g. of the Stellari, the Solisari, the Luxomundi)

Culture

Art & Architecture

Apart from scholarly works, Solarii were fond of creating various works of art, such as utilizing hard light to create beautiful neon sculptures and paintings. The people of Solaria were also quite fond of using such hard light to embed glowing tattoos on their bodies, however, such practice was then made exclusive only to the holy caste of the Luxomundi to set them apart from the other Solarii.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

Newborn Solarii tieflings were bathed in the Light of the Omnipotent One. This process is done three times throughout their lives; the first immediately after childbirth; the second when they turn 12; and the last when they reach the age of 22. The Solarii believed that the mind transitions into different states of being when reaching these milestones in the age. The baptismal bathing is done to 'purify the mind of untoward and errant thoughts.'
