Territories

The lands marked as modern day Farrin were once a Kingdom known as Piner, which were lost in a war of conquest during the Second Age sometime after the rise of the Gods of the Second Age. After their rise and the creation of the Queendom of Benabry, their original territory shrunk as more and more was taken by Benabry's own expansion, and following the Night of Heaven's Fall Benabry took advantage of the chaos and pushed Northwards, claiming all Farrin territory including the former capital. The advance was halted at the mountain passes, but the remains of Farrin found their current lands to be little less than deserts and mountains, hardly hospitable terrain.

Military

Historically Farrin was considered to be the most militant in Alluria during the Second Age, but after the loss of their mainland and fortifications early in the Third Age to Benabry their power has significantly shrunk. They still maintain a required service for all citizens, keeping their force numbers high and their people well trained if ever needed to be called upon. The army has adapted to the desert and mountainous regions, well known for their mobility in difficult terrain, able to adapt between open ground warfare and formations, and narrow pathways of varying heights with great efficency. They stuggle in more forested terrain however, due to it being sparce in their homeland.
