Right outside the city of Caleia itself, the Shadows were routed and beaten back by a grand alliance.

With the complete destruction of Elven civilization, its last surviving remnants handed together with the Caleians in one grand alliance, led by Sun and Moon to defeat and seal the Shadows away once more. While the battle in the Aquileian plains raged on, Sun and Moon chased the Nameless Shadow out of the battlefield and to the Edge of the North, where they battled at Ennuindel Peak and defeated it. With its defeat, the Shadows were broken and taken underground in chains, thus marking the beginning of the glorious Imperial Age.
