The Silvercliffs

Shining Silver Rock

The Silvercliffs, located on the tip of the southern coast, are a tall set of cliffs that shine as if they were covered in pure silver. During certain hours of the day, the sunlight shines off of them like a mirror. During the Imperial Age, thousands of travelers used to flock to them to admire their natural beauty, for these cliffs are everything but natural. They aren't man-made either, but instead are a product of a rivalry between two great mages.
Long ago, during the age of the Elves, there were two great Elven mages. Both were tasked by their liege to bring his daughter a present for her sixteenth birthday. Both mages decided on giving her a silver statue of herself. So, they both went and attempted to make stone as beautiful as silver. Then they both traveled to a faraway cliffside to practice without worry. Unfortunately, they both chose the same spot and soon met each other. Thinking that the other had stolen their idea, it is said the mages began a duel, whose great light show gave the cliffs their famous beauty. Some say the two mages's spirits still duel each other in the night, causing reflections in the cliffs.

Geography

The cliffs themselves don't have much vegetation or animals living in them, but above them lies a small forest. Some travelers who have explored the area have sworn they had seen silver statues of deer and animals in the forest. Many have tried mining the cliffs to extract the "silver", just to be met with worthless rock, which loses its reflective property as soon as it's stripped away from the cliffs.
