This session was our opening to the Campaign. All events depicted were redacted upon the Player's decision to travel back in time to prevent it.
A quick trigger warning- mentions of genocide and mild gore.
The Party, Amari, Banwon, Puck, Lazuli, and Primrose, awake to find themselves pulled from their former homes and in a strange town. The town's people remark that they were porcelain statues before this, and then ask them to save their town, believing them to be immune to the spell since they've woken up. Upon agreeing the party embarks on a journey to Drosselmeyer's Castle which is located at the center of the Labyrinth of Dreams.
When they arrive at the labyrinth, they encounter an automaton named Wright, who is worn and broken. He introduces himself as a toy created by Drosselmeyer. As the party decides to take him along or not they can hear faint music being played from inside. Ultimately the party decides to take Wright with them and head inside.
While in the labyrinth the party endures endless series of traps and sights of a genocide of fae. Bodies and skeletons litter the maze. They also find mosaics detailing the history of the kingdom and scribblings written in Sylvan detailing what happened. In one of the rooms the party finds what remains of Drosselmeyer's workshop. While searching further for the exit they encounter a fae named Rinks, who attempts to fight them but is met with unwillingness from the party. After calming down he explains about Drosselmeyer's betrayal and the genocide of his kind. He asks the party if they're going to fight him and is glad to hear they are. He runs off and leaves them.
Upon finally leaving the labyrinth, the party is greeted with the sight of a ruined castle. They enter the throne room and are horrified to see various wings of fae creatures pinned up to the walls like specimens. They can see porcelain statues of townspeople posed as if they're dancing. In the corner an Eldarin plays a harp, each string is a different instrument. Drosselmeyer descends the stairs, holding Rinks who is gasping for breath. Tossing Rinks to the side, he asks if the Party is a fan of his work. When Wright runs up to him, Drosselmeyer welcomes him before digging his claws into Wright's chest. The animatronic turns shiny and new, Drosselmeyer accuses the Party of coming for his spoils and commands Wright to fight beside him.
The Party fights Drosselmeyer and Wright, eventually besting both of them. The statues come back to live, exclaiming in joy of being freed. The Eladrin stops playing and thanks the party for what they've done. They leave the harp in the corner and join the fleeing townspeople. The party stands before their corpses when Primrose is pulled through a portal leaving the party.
