The first session of the old campaign. It sent in motion the events of both Campaigns. Party: Koal Clay, Mossie Maffick, and Kyven.
The god Bailor in the disguise of Lord Bale, invites the Party to his strong hold to ask them to hunt down a gang leader by the name of Crow. While they talk his wife Melody, the goddess Mallo in disguise, makes a comment before leaving them. Upon the party signing contracts, he directs them to the ruins of Aycan where he suspects Crow is hiding.
The party spends sometime in the town just outside the strong hold. The party goes to the tavern to drink coffee while Koal waits outside. He spots a woman in all black who is watching them. Upon leaving the town they run into Noah Rhodes, who lets them rent a horse to take to New Aycan. The woman in black approaches them and asks if she can accompany them. She introduces herself as Cella. The party agrees and she accompanies them to New Aycan. On the road they run into some bulette and after a quick battle they continue on their way.
Once in New Aycan they wander the town a little, and run into a story teller named Cestra. She tells them a story, which Koal leaves mid way through. They can hear ghoulish screams coming from the ruins. After spending some time in town they head to the ruins. Upon arriving they see the statues of petrified gryphon folk. They hear the same ghoulish scream, from the only remaining building. When they enter they're met with an 8ft tall Oni with four arms and blood red skin. There is a massive arrow of glowing red light sticking out from his chest.
The Oni rushes into battle. Mossie casts a dispel magic and manages to dispel the magical arrow entirely. The Oni collapses and Cella runs to his side. He pulls back her hood revealing her to be Celeste and she calls him Crocid. Celeste heals him and explains that Mallo shot him in an attempt to kill him. Crocid asks the party to change sides. They agree and Celeste tells them of her suspicions: Bailor will kill the rest of the pantheon for power using the guise of a crusade for justice. She asks the party to travel the Provinces to awaken the sleeping gods.
The Party agrees. Crocid attunes Koal's hammer and gives him a holy symbol to worship to. He also warns the party that Ierin, God of the Skies, will rat them out of Bailor if they encounter him.
