The Festival of the Elements
A tradition started shortly after the official establishment of the Genasi nation of Sul'ban, people from all around the world now come to see the spectacle and celebration that is the Festival of the Elements. Each year, the Genasi go to the holy place of the Great Temple Sul'ran in the Kal'Un Mountains where they make offerings and sing praises to the gods and the elements. Many will seek council from the wise monks of Sul'ran and pray before the Great Altars of the Temple. This annual pilgrimage is special because it is treacherous for even a small group to make their own way to the heart of the mysterious mountain range.
History
The Festival started initially both to mark the time of the Revelation, as well as to serve as an opportunity for reflection, reverence, and respect of the gods. Over time, as the Genasi nation continued to prosper, it also took on a celebratory tone for the blessings that had been bestowed upon the people. Today it has become a time of outreach for missionaries, appreciation of the divine powers, and a display of the power of the elements and their role in everyday life in Sul'ban.
