Southeastern Farming Communities
Comprised of lush rolling hills and fertile plains, the southeastern region of Sul'ban is the bread basket for much of the northern half of Herrocke. The small communities that litter the area have sprung up quickly into a great amount of prosperity cultivating all sorts of fruit, vegetables, and organic material. These lands are usually very peaceful, shepherds only having to deal with the occasional wolf pack stalking the animals. The Genasi villages commune with nature to ensure continued prosperity and growth throughout the area.
Geography
Generally fairly flat terrain, the Pastures lie framed by the towering peaks of the Kal'Un mountains in the distance. Small lakes and ponds are scattered across the region, connected by canals, rivers, and streams. Most of the landscape has been parceled out into various fields and groves, stretching out for miles before any trace of civilization can be seen. Advancements in technology and magic have allowed for the farmers living in this area to expand their exploits to incredible distances from their settlements. Orchards and wetlands are just as plentiful here as the crop fields are. Some sections are still called wilderness, and small forests or wild plains occupy the spaces between fields and gardens.
Fauna & Flora
All manner of food and vegetation is cultivated and raised in fields across the area. Chonivata reeds are rare but present, being able to increase one's wisdom when consumed. Hundreds of different kinds of flower and herb are cared for and sold, all with unique appearances and properties. Due to this nutrient rich environment, many wild and tame herbivores call the region home. Everything from rodents to game, and the natural predators of such creatures roam the countryside. Windweeds are often found getting tangled in random things, having been blown all around Sul'ban.
Natural Resources
Beyond the everyday crops and delicacies that are common to the culture of Sul'ban, several unique plants and animals are cultivated in the Pastures. Chi'gari serve as the work-beasts of many farmers, hauling cargo and pulling machinery. Gyoko birds are raised for slaughter, as their flesh and feathers are both highly valued materials. Some Gyoko are bred to be large and strong, so that they can be trained for use as mounts for transport. Among plants, many fruits and herbs that are used in the crafting of healing salves and potions are grown here. There is also a hearty leafy vegetable known as Ghurr'ick that is known for providing a boost to one's constitution.
Tourism
The region does not attract much attention beyond those interested in food and cultivation. There are a few vineyards established in the area where people may go for purchase and tasting of fine beverages.
