The largest library and collection of texts and archives in the Alliance. Shrines to Aureon litter the building.
The gnomes of the Athenaeum are the carriers of the Mark of Scribing and through their Speakers Guild, they offer service as both translators and mediators between different races but also as instant, long-distance communication in their more powerful members.
The Curators also have their hand in the business as notaries, using the arcane mark and illusory script to certify or hide important documents. Unmarked members are usually translators, mediators, messengers, and some truly charismatic gnomes become diplomats.
Through these services, they have amassed a huge library of texts. They are protective and greedy with the collection. Their curators are found throughout the alliance and the world to accrue knowledge and histories.
