Quillinfae Forest

The Quillinfae forest is a forest located in East Laria, many Elves, Ponies and creatures call it home.
Suiting its name, Quillinfae Forest is populated by small beings of light dubbed "Fae", which harmlessly float about, illuminating the environment.

Geography

The forest is not particularly dense, amd is easily traverseable by foot as a result, it is tended to well by the Eastern Larians.
There are Abyssal Caverns deep beneath the forest, which possess ancient magic and chaotic creatures which are remarked as being lost in time, but they rarely appear on the surface.

Localized Phenomena

The fae illuminate the forest, and are sensitive to quintessence, as a result, the use of magic is known to make the forest brighten up.
The existence of these fae are thought to have inspired the Elves to discover light magic and druid arts.

Climate

Quillinfae Forest is a very temperate and stable environment, springs and summers are pleasant, and the winter is cold, but not harsh.

History

The forest was a setting of the Larian Civil War, where the east and west fought over their gods. 
Eiloher, the Earth Dragon slumbers near the forest, and has been angered on several occasions, this has lead to some fierce debates among Elves and Ponies regarding the place of Dragons in society.

Tourism

Many adventerers visit the woods to witness the fae, or to learn about the Druid Arts, others visit to learn about the Larian Civil War.
