Grelm
Grelm are a primate-like species that exclusively live in the Pels region, they thread the line between a magical beast and kin. They are lanky humanoids with no visible nose, large white eyes and a thick coat of red fur.
Grelm have the unique ability to superheat their fur, lighting themselves on fire for short bursts of time, and also by extention have massive resistance to extreme temperatures.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Grelm are humanoid creatures with thin, flexible limbs. They do not possess teeth, but rather suck up the flesh of prey and soft plants. Their mouths have tough pads instead of teeth. Grelm have large, bulbous eyes that are rather tough, but they do not have visible pupils until they reach a threshold of cognitive intellect, one that has only been spotted recently.
Ecology and Habitats
Grelm largely thrive in forests, being adept climbers that are mostly adapted to arborial lifestyles. Some are known to inhabant caves or enclaves when available, but their relatively modest strength and durability makes this difficult to accomplish.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Grelm are omniverous creatures that eat the flesh of beasts and fruit. They break off into hunting groups and gathering groups and reconvene at their base to exchange foods.

Average Intelligence
Grelm are on the low end of human-intellect and are more intelligent than the likes of Chimpanzees and Dolphins. They are generally descibed as being on the cusp of personhood.

Grelm possess decent senses of smell and hearing, despite not having prominent noses or ears, but their greatest senses are touch and sight.
