Verinen

The Verines were once a single island, but over the millennia they have divided into four smaller islands. They formed the once famous Verinic-Seaway, which was known for trade, cultural exchange, but also for piracy. Nowadays it is almost abandoned mostly because the surrounding spore forests make it dangerous to pass the passage for travelers. The islands, at least what is left of them, are controlled by the Nimeri Concordat. Although they control a reasonable amount of land, large areas have fallen victim to the decay and only a few people still live on these islands. Raw materials are also limited, as the one small mountain range to which the inhabitants still have access to, has little to offer. The Verines are not as fortunate as many other islands, as many spores are carried here by the western winds and pose an increasing threat to the remaining towns and their inhabitants.
