Kraatteri

With more than 50% of the total land mass, Kraatteri is the largest continent of Alkumeri. Even though it has the largest area, only a fraction of it is still inhabitable. Many parts of the massif are covered with spore forests or vast, barren deserts. Most of the lands belong to the Celtacian Empire and only the northernmost area is owned by Tahrves. The continent has a wide variety of climates, from pleasantly mild to scorching heat to freezing cold. The vast Ravoure mountain range that spreads throughout the west is rich in raw minerals and therefore very valuable for many large cities such as Acrine, the capital of the Celtacian Empire. Near the mountains live many workers who mine all kinds of resources and transport them afterwards. One of the biggest mining sites is near Behedde that runs many stone, copper, iron and gold mines. In most of the towns, people either farm or mine raw materials, much of which is shipped to Pamaja for use or further distribution. In addition to mining and agriculture, expeditions are also made into the spore forests as well as messenger deliveries throughout the country. To get to Tahrves and its towns, many messengers or travelers take the shorter route through the country, even though it is a dangerous but short path through the spore forests. To get to the north, they have to go through the thinnest part of the spore forests, which is right between the Barasso and the Ebbon forests. Although they only have to be in there for a short time, it is no less dangerous there, and people have already contracted the decay or died from the hostile fauna of less. Even the more experienced expedition squads don't have it easier, but they are driven by the possible fame and fortune that awaits them if they can find and recover valuable materials or even artifacts from ancient times.
