2nd Primordial Law of Shadow
The Primordial Laws are statements that describe the behavior of the primordial elements. These Laws were orignally devised by the First Mages during the later years of The Forsaken Age, after generations of experimentation, observation, and research. These Laws have persisted, mostly unchanged, through to the consciousness and practices of scientific and magical practitioners of the modern age.
The 2nd Primordial Law of Shadow states the following: When SHADOW consumes DARKNESS to absorb its power, it cannot consume it completely. Small motes of excess DARKNESS are cast out, left to drift, unclaimed, across THE EXPANSE
This Law works in conjunction with the 3rd Primordial Law of Shadow, which explains that this excess SHADOW cannot be destroyed.
